O'Leary Presented with the Willie Stephenson Trophy

Eddie O'Leary & Henry Beeby | Goffs UK

Eddie O'Leary was presented the Willie Stephenson Memorial Trophy by Goffs UK Thursday. The award, which commemorates the co-founder of DBS, now Goffs UK, is given annually to the person or persons whom the Goffs UK Board feel have made the biggest contribution to the success of the company during the year. Acting as a major consignor and buyer, O'Leary is the owner of Lynn Lodge Stud in County Meath with his wife Wendy and a buyer of NH horses for his brother's Gigginstown House Stud. O'Leary has consigned numerous top-class horses and regularly headlines at Goffs UK form horse sales, making significant contributions to Goffs UK.

“Eddie has been a huge supporter of our sales at Doncaster for many years and it's a pleasure to present him with this award,” said Goffs Group Chief Executive Henry Beeby. “He is one of the few people in Europe, and probably even the world, that acts at the elite end of the market for all the major sales across Flat and National Hunt. Through their Lynn Lodge Stud, Eddie and Wendy are one of the leading vendors at our Breeze-Up and premier Sales. Eddie has also been hugely successful at selecting top-class jumpers for Michael [O'Leary]'s Gigginstown House operation. Through Eddie's continued support of our sales, we have shared much success over the years and we look forward to plenty more to come.”
