MANDHARI (FR) (Redoute's Chois {Aus}) is a son of Princess Zahra Aga Khan's triple Group 1 scorer Mandesha (Fr) (Desert Style {Ire}) who debuts for his owner-breeder and Alain de Royer-Dupre. In a fascinating contest, one other with Group 1-winning close connections is the Wertheimers's Sahelian (Ire) (Sea the Stars {Ire}), a Freddy Head-trained half-brother to the Premio Lydia Tesio heroine Sortilege (Ire) (Tiger Hill {Ire}).

Her half-dozen opponents include Khalid Abdullah colourbearer and stablemate Orchid Lily (GB) (Dansili {GB}), who is a daughter of 2010 G3 Prix d'Aumale victress and G1 Prix Marcel Boussac runner-up Helleborine (GB) (Observatory).
