Observations on the European Racing Scene turns the spotlight on the best European races of the day, highlighting well-pedigreed horses early in their careers, horses of note returning to action and young runners that achieved notable results in the sales ring. Today's Observations features a full-sister to the group-winning Roly Poly (War Front).

U S NAVY FLAG (War Front">War Front) debuts for Derrick Smith, Susan Magnier and Michael Tabor and Aidan O'Brien in a race that also plays host to the stable's $525,000 purchase Dali (Scat Daddy). U S Navy Flag lacks that barnmate's vital experience, but lacks for nothing in the pedigree department, being out of the four-times Group 1 winner Misty For Me (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), while her full-sister Roly Poly won first time out here last year en route to taking the G2 Duchess of Cambridge S. and finishing runner-up in the G1 Cheveley Park S.
