Derrick Smith's LONDRES (Sea the Stars {Ire}), an Andre Fabre trainee, is a son of 2001 Listed Prix de Lieurey winner Shawara (Ire) (Barathea {Ire}) and is thus kin to three stakes performers headed by 2012 G1 Yorkshire Oaks and G1 Prix Vermeille victress Shareta (Ire) (Sinndar {Ire}). The 650,000gns Tattersalls October yearling's six rivals include Litex Commerce's fellow newcomer Brander (GB) (Fastnet Rock {Aus}), a homebred son of 2008 G2 German 1000 Guineas heroine Briseida (GB) (Pivotal {GB}) and therefore a half-brother to 2014 G3 Preis des Winterfavoriten winner Brisanto (GB) (Dansili {GB}), from the Miltcho Mintchev yard.
