Derrick Smith's MENDELSSOHN (Scat Daddy) is a $3-million KEESEP half-brother to MGISW Beholder (Henny Hughes), who prevailed 10 times at the highest level, and 2007 GI Hollywood Futurity-winning sire Into Mischief (Harlan's Holiday). Opposed by seven in this second go, last year's highest-priced Thoroughbred sold at public auction returns off a July 15 debut eighth going seven furlongs at this track and is the mount of Ryan Moore, who jets in for the ride coming back from contesting the GI Arlington Million aboard Deauville (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}).

BYE BYE BABY (IRE) (Galileo {Ire}), who carries Michael Tabor's silks, is a hitherto unraced daughter of 2010 G1 Epsom Oaks runner-up Remember When (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}) and thus a full-sister to three black-type performers headed by GSW 2015 G1 Nassau S. second Wedding Vow (Ire). Her nine rivals include Aidan O'Brien-trained stablemate Sizzling (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), who is out of a half-sister to five-time Grade I-winning sire Court Vision (Gulch), bidding to improve on placings in her first three starts.

Susan Magnier colourbearer COMRADE IN ARMS (War Front">War Front) is a son of 2001 G1 Fillies' Mile runner-up Maryinsky (Ire) (Sadler's Wells) and is thus a half-brother to four-time Group 1 winner Peeping Fawn (Danehill) and 2007 G1 Criterium International-winning sire Thewayyouare (Kingmambo). Six-strong opposition to the Sir Michael Stoute trainee includes Dark Spec (GB) (Dark Angel {Ire}), a once-raced son of the 2006 G1 1000 Guineas heroine Speciosa (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}), from the Pam Sly stable.
