Registering a decisive success on debut over six furlongs here July 30, Polydream was outnumbered by the British raiders in this hot renewal but was well on top at the end to remain unbeaten for a yard that has a supply of above-average juveniles. Settled off the pace early by Maxime Guyon among the group racing down the centre of the track, the bay made her move out wide and hit the front travelling strongly 1 1/2 out. Despite the efforts of the promising visitor Laurens, the homebred had established an unassailable lead and was being patted down the neck as she crossed the line. “She's a lovely filly and a real good one,” trainer Freddy Head said. “She's a lovely mover with a lot of speed and we now have to make a decision about whether we drop back down to six for the [G1] Cheveley Park S. [at Newmarket Sept. 30] or step up to a mile for the [G1 Prix] Marcel Boussac [at Chantilly Oct. 1]. Nothing is definite–we will see how she is and discuss it with the owners.”

Polydream is out of the Listed Prix d'Angerville and GIII Monrovia H. runner-up Polygreen, whose previous best was the dual listed scorer Evaporation (Fr) (Red Ransom) who also placed in the G2 Prix Daniel Wildenstein and G2 Prix de Sandringham. The second dam is the Listed Prix La Camargo and Listed Prix Saraca winner Yxenery, a daughter of the dual black-type scorer Polyxena who in turn is out of Minstrel Girl (Fr) (Luthier {Fr}). Runner-up in the G1 Criterium des Pouliches, she produced the MGSW sire Truculent. Polygreen also has a yearling filly by Invincible Spirit (Ire).
