November TDN Weekend features Barbados, Carson Kressley & More

By

Just before landing in Barbados, you look down and think that the sight you see below you could be a racetrack if only it weren't shaped like a triangle. And then you realize…it's a racecourse, shaped like a triangle. That's just one of the many charms of the place you'll discover in this month's TDN Weekend story on Garrison Savannah, home of the Barbados Gold Cup. On the other side of the world, Kelsey Riley reviews a restaurant in Tokyo that's a favorite of celebrities and racing folk alike. If you're headed to the Japan Cup, you'll want to check it out. It's Breeders' Cup time, and if you're getting caught up in the social media frenzy of it all, there's a good chance that you've interacted with Grand Slam Social, the team responsible for creating a buzz about the event. And speaking about big events with a lot of buzz, earlier this year, Racing New South Wales announced it would hold a $10 million event, The Everest, Australia's answer to the Pegasus. If you weren't on hand for the big day last month (or even if you were), check out our video which will help you relive the magic. Finally, Breeders' Cup Ambassador Carson Kressley shares some fashion tips with Alexa Reisfeld (no more parachute pants!) in this month's Last Word.
