The Gallagher's Stud-bred MEDAGLIA FLAME (Medaglia d'Oro) was purchased by John Ferguson for $120K out of the 2015 Keeneland September sale and carried the colors of Sheikh Mohammed to a smooth debut success over this course and distance Oct. 2 before finishing down the field in a Kyoto allowance 22 days hence. The New York-bred's second dam is MSW & GSP Eventail (Lear Fan), a half-sister to MGISW Take Charge Lady (Dehere), and herself the dam of MGSW & GISP Straight Story (Giant's Causeway) and Japanese MSW Strong Souther (Jpn) (Heart's Cry {Jpn}). Sheikh Mohammed's Old Bailey (To Honor and Serve), a $220K FTSAUG grad bred by Elm Tree Farm, will look to build on a debut success at Tokyo Nov. 6.
