Three-time Group 1 winner Noble Mission (GB) (Galileo {Ire}–Kind {Ire}, by Danehill), a full-brother to superstar Frankel (GB), will begin his stud career next season at Lane's End Farm. Lane's End has purchased a majority interest in the stallion and will stand him in association with Prince Khalid Abdullah's Juddmonte Farms. A homebred for Juddmonte Farms, Noble Mission recently capped his career with a win in the G1 Champion S.–a race won two years ago by Frankel. The 5-year-old also won this year's Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud and G1 Tattersalls Gold Cup.
“Juddmonte Farms has been an extraordinary breeding and racing operation over the years, and we're thrilled to be a part of this horse,” commented Lane's End owner Will Farish. “Many of the world's best stallions are in Europe and we feel the need to revert to the days of importing top-class European horses to stand in America. We're confident he can add to the long list of influential stallions like Nasrullah, Roberto, Nureyev, Lyphard, Kingmambo, etc., to become a successful stallion here.”
In addition to the undefeated Frankel, Noble Mission is also a 3/4-brother to group winner Bullet Train (GB) (Sadler's Wells) and a half-brother to multiple group placed Joyeuse (Oasis Dream {GB}).
“Noble Mission was a thrill for all of us at Juddmonte and of course [trainer] Lady Cecil,” commented Juddmonte racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe. “He's one of the best in his division and has ensured his place at stud. Lane's End expressed a strong interest in the horse and the prince was happy to go on and stand him in America. We look forward to supporting him.”
Noble Mission will be arriving in the U.S. in early December, at which time he will be available for inspection at Lane's End.
On the board in 17 of 21 starts, Noble Mission won nine times and earned $2,202,887.
