ONE LINER (c, 3, Into Mischief–Cayala, by Cherokee Run), a debut winner as the 5-2 favorite over subsequent GI Hopeful S. runner-up Royal Copy (Bodemeister) and third-place finisher Pretty Boy Flash (Gone Astray) when last seen going 5 1/2 furlongs at the Spa July 23, returned from the bench with a solid win while facing only five rivals here. Sent early from his outside draw by John Velazquez, the 4-5 favorite chased from third while under a ride behind a pair of dueling leaders through an opening quarter in :22.48. One Liner began to advance while three-wide on the far turn, took over in the lane and leveled off nicely in deep stretch to score by 2 1/2 lengths over Jersey Street (Maimonides). The winner's dam had an Into Mischief colt in 2016 and was bred back to Verrazano. Sales history: $150,000 Ylg '15 KEEJAN. Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0, $73,800.
