Always far too strong for his rivals, the 4-9 favourite drew away in the straight to score by nine lengths from Key Player (GB) (Kheleyf). The dam is a daughter of Flute (Seattle Slew), who captured the GI Alabama S. and GI Kentucky Oaks and whose daughter Filimbi also by Mizzen Mast was the winner of the GII Goldikova S. and runner-up in the GI Just a Game S. and GI Jenny Wiley S. Flute, who is also the second dam of last year's GI Ashland S. scorer Weep No More (Mineshaft), is a daughter of the GSP Rougeur (Blushing Groom {Fr}). She is a half-sister to the G3 Park Hill S.-winning highweight Eva Luna (Alleged), responsible for the high-class Brian Boru (GB) and Sea Moon (GB) (Beat Hollow {GB}), among others.
