Sidling up alongside the leader midway on the turn, the gray willingly took charge passing a :45.87 half and blew the race apart in the stretch, cruising by some 13 lengths in 1:24.67. Lady by Choice (Shanghai Bobby) completed the exacta. The win was the 40th of the meet for trainer Todd Pletcher, tying a record set by Chad Brown last year and putting Pletcher two up on Brown for this season's training title.
