GIII Sham S. hero Midnight Hawk (Midnight Lute–Miss Wineshine, by Wolf Power {SAf}) has been retired and will take up stallion duties at Rising Sun Farm, Portmore, Jamaica for the 2017 season. The deal was brokered by Chad Schumer of Schumer Bloodstock Agency. Placed in an additional five graded stakes throughout his career, the grey retires with a mark of 17-5-4-3 and $591,750 in earnings. Out of SW Miss Wineshine, who ran third in the GI Spinaway S., Midnight Hawk is also a half-brother to SW Mayor Marv (Distorted Humor).
