Calistoga, produced by a winning full-sister to GI Kentucky Derby hero Giacomo (Holy Bull) and a half-sister to MGISW Tiago (Pleasant Tap), looked like the real deal in her Gulfstream Park unveiling here. The 9-2 chance wasn't quite the quickest of all to exit the gate, but nontheless found herself leading the way under her own restraint from her inside draw through an opening quarter in :22.47. Calistoga began to open daylight beneath Joel Rosario as they straightened for home, and kept on finding more in the stretch to win under wraps by 5 1/4 eye-catching lengths. Iroquois Girl (Indian Charlie) was second. Sales history: $180,000 yrl '11 KEESEP. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $25,200.
