  Keeneland, Race 6, Alw, 52,000, , 6fAW,

Console, C, 3, by War Front

1st Dam: Bema (SW, $146,612), by Pulpit
2nd Dam: Dhaka, by Icecapade
3rd Dam: Cloudy Day Sunny, by Buckaroo

Console was pegged at 20-1 for his belated debut over six furlongs of the Kentucky Downs turf course Sept. 10, but was made the 3-1 chalk and for good reason. The homebred was fastest away, put 10 lengths on his rivals in the stretch and the final margin of victory of 2 1/4 lengths told none of the story. His 90 Beyer Speed Figure did, however, and that earned him even-money favoritism for this restricted allowance. Console stumbled at the break here, but assumed command soon after and showed the way through a swift opening quarter mile in :21.92. He took pressure throughout from Loud Pipes (Ghostzapper), but put that one away in upper stretch and reported home a 6 1/4-length winner. Console is a half to Ocasta (Cherokee Run), GSP. Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0, $67,200.
