Flashy Dresser, who worked a bullet five furlongs at Palm Meadows Feb. 18 in :59 4/5, was sent off at 7-1 in his debut. The chestnut colt chased pacesetting Broome Street (Street Cry {Ire}), half of a 3-5 Darley entry, from the second tier through an opening quarter in :23.52. He made stoute progress leaving the backstretch, stuck his head in front after a half in :47.18 and quickly opened up on the field before sailing under the wire a sparkling 6 3/4-length victor. Unbridled's Way (Unbridled's Song) closed to be second, 1 3/4 lengths in front of entrymate Broome Street. Sales history: $70,000 yrl '10 FTKJUL; $80,000 RNA 2yo ‘11 FTMMAY.
