Stopshoppingmaria, sent off the 8-5 chalk, rolled out of the gate, dashed off a half in :45.79 and just kept going, powering away from the field under a Johnny Velazquez hand ride to graduate by 9 3/4 lengths. Firster Book Review (Giant's Causeway) was a distant second, with Delightful Magic (Mineshaft) completing the trifecta. Stopshoppingmaria fell on her nose leaving the gate in her debut at the Spa July 22, but still managed a third-place finish, with Delightful Magic second after setting the pace. The three-length winner that afternoon was My Miss Aurelia (Smart Strike), who came back to take the GII Adirondack S. yesterday.
