  Gulfstream Park, Race 7, Mdn, 35,000, , 7 f, 1:21.67, 8, 8

  Christine Daae, F, 3, by Giant's Causeway

1st Dam: Descapate (SW & GSP, $196,105), by Dehere
2nd Dam: Scapegoat, by Forty Niner
3rd Dam: Old Goat, by Olden Times

Christine Daae finished a non-threatening fourth at 38-1 in her July 9 debut at Hollywood, a maiden in which subsequent Grade I winner Mi Sueno (Pulpit) finished second (video). The blaze-faced chestnut missed some time thereafter, but reappeared on the worktab at Gulfstream in early December and posted three bullet drills. Getting Lasix for this return to action, the 7-2 third choice came away quickly before settling in third on the outside as Sarah and Me (Strong Hope) set the pace. Jockey Joe Brave said "go" on the turn and Christine Daae hit the high note, drawing off impressively by 8 3/4 lengths. Exiled Princess (Purge) rallied from seventh to claim second from Muhawaara (Unbridled's Song--Habibti), while Sarah and Me faded to fifth. Sales history: $175,000 RNA wlng '07 KEENOV; $100,000 yrl '08 KEESEP. Lifetime Record: 2-1-0-0, $23,760.
