  LONGCHAMP, 14.50, Mdn, 24,000, unraced 2yo, 5fT, :58.30, gd

Siyouni (Fr), C, 2, by Pivotal (GB)

1st Dam: Sichilla (Ire) (SW-Fr), by Danehill
2nd Dam: Slipstream Queen, by Conquistador Cielo
3rd Dam: Country Queen, by Explodent

Siyouni arrived at the gate for this first start with plenty of confidence behind him, and he justified the collective faith with an imposing debut performance. Quickly into stride, he raced smoothly at the head of affairs. He never came out of second gear, requiring minimal encouragement in the closing stages to register the 1 1/2-length defeat of Dolled Up (Ire) (Whipper). "We knew he could run beforehand, but just hoped he'd confirm it when he got to the races," said winning trainer Alain de Royer-Dupre. "He has a good temperament and is already professional in what he does. There should be better things to come from him." Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, €12,000.
