  MAISONS-LAFFITTE, 15.20, Mdn, 22,000, 2yo, f, 7fT, 1:33.50, sf

Peace Camp, F, 2, by Storm Cat

1st Dam: Loving Kindness (GSW & G1SP-Fr), by Seattle Slew
2nd Dam: Coup de Genie, by Mr. Prospector
3rd Dam: Coup de Folie, by Halo

Peace Camp's home reputation saw her start as the 6-5 crowd's choice, and the illustriously bred bay had nowhere to hide early after breaking from the widest stall. Keen in the hands of Johan Victoire without cover in fourth, she traveled strongly to the quarter pole after which she was let loose. Quickening to settle the result in a matter of strides, she was firmly in control under hand riding throughout the final furlong and crossed the line with a cozy two-length advantage over Anthropologie (Ire) (Okawango). The winner's dam, a half-sister to French champion Denebola (Storm Cat), won the 2002 G3 Prix de Cabourg and was third in that year's G1 Prix Morny. Subsequently acquired by Godolphin, she made one appearance, finishing fifth to stablemate Danuta in a conditions race at Nad al Sheba in early 2003. Lifetime Record: 1 start, 1 win, Eu11,000.
