The Curragh faithful are becoming accustomed to seeing Jim Bolger-trained progeny of Galileo dominate their peers, and the latest tour de force was in evidence courtesy of Forest Storm here. Keen in the early stages while racing in a close second, the Eu240,000 GOFNOV weanling, a descendant of the 1987 G1 Irish 1000 Guineas heroine Forest Flower, traveled easily when left in front before the quarter pole. Asked to settle the issue soon after by Davy Moran, the chestnut required only hand riding to record an impressive 5 1/2-length success from Apt (Ire) (Danetime {Ire}). Timabiyra (Ire) (Linamix {Fr}), the daughter of Timarida (Ire) (Kalaglow {GB}), was sent off the 2-1 crowd's choice, but could make no impression on the winner and stayed on to finish fifth. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, Eu26,040. O: Miss A H Marshall | B: Mr H Q Spooner | T: Jim Bolger |
