  DEAUVILLE, 2.25, Mdn, 22,000, unraced 2yo, f, 7fT, 1:29.20, vsf

Ana Americana (Fr), F, 2, by American Post (GB)

1st Dam: Ana Marie (Fr) (Hwt. Older Mare-Fr at 9.5-11f, MGSW & MG1SP-Fr & G1SP-Eng, $353,778), by Anabaa
2nd Dam: Marie de Ken (Fr), by Kendor (Fr)
3rd Dam: Marie de Vez (Fr), by Crystal Palace (Fr)

Ana Americana, a daughter of the talented Ana Marie, showed she inherited some her dam's traits by tearing up this newcomers' event in hugely impressive fashion. Let go at a generous 13-2, she claimed the rail and travelled on the front end through the early steps. Set alight passing the quarter-mile marker, the bay was in total command at the eighth pole and was pushed clear in the closing stages to score by an easy 2 1/2 lengths from Homebound (Dixie Union). Ana Americana becomes the first winner for her freshman sire (by Bering {GB}). Her dam hit the board in events such as the G1 Prix de Diane, G1 Prix Vermeille and G1 Nassau S. Lifetime Record: 1 start, 1 win, Eu11,000.
