Racecar Rhapsody took some action at the windows at 6-1 in his Oct. 7 bow at this track, but had his backers tearing up their tickets when he found himself 17 lengths last following a slow start. Eight wide into the stretch, he managed to bridge most of that gap and ended up rounding out the exacta. Sent off the 9-10 chalk to get it right this time around, the bay colt was patiently handled by Robby Albarado at the back of the pack while racing wide down the backside. He gained good ground on the turn, came six deep into the stretch and rolled home under little encouragement to score by two lengths over Mad Flatter (Flatter). A $390,000 KEENOV weanling purchase, he was resold for $400,000 as a FTSAUG yearling. Lifetime Record: 2-1-1-0, $41,270.
