Punters were aware something was afoot with World Ruler, hammering the newcomer down to 3-10 at the tills, and the Juddmonte homebred did not disappoint with a professional debut performance. Racing in third from the outset, he made headway under gentle coaxing in the straight. The bay inched ahead of Gold Rock (Fr) (Anabaa) with 300 meters remaining and was pushed out late to comfortably best that rival by 1 1/2 lengths. The winner is a 3/4-sibling to Grand Vista (GB) (Danehill), GSP-Fr. Lifetime Record: 1 start, 1 win, Eu10,500.
