  Saratoga, Race 6, Msw, 62,000, 2yo, f, 5 1/2f, 1:03 1/5, ft

Indian Blessing, F, 2, by Indian Charlie

1st Dam: Shameful (SW & MGSP, $241,345), by Flying Chevron
2nd Dam: Lady’s Legacy, by Matchlite
3rd Dam: Wavering Lady, by Wavering Monarch

Indian Blessing flashed plenty of speed in her a.m. drills in Southern California, including a five-furlong bullet in :57 2/5 over the Del Mar Polytrack Aug. 11. Not much of a secret here at odds of 4-5, she left the stalls sixth from the one-hole, but quickly recovered to show the early way. With Rafael Bejarano aboard, the dark bay rattled off sparkling fractions of :21.49 and :44.37 and drew off smartly to take it by 5 1/4 lengths over 14-1 Throbbin’ Heart (Smoke Glacken). Her final time of 1:03.26 was just .13 of a second off the track record set on Thursday by fellow J "TDN Rising Star" J J Be K. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $37,200.
