  LONGCHAMP, 3.20, Cond, 34,000, 3yo, f, 1 3/8mT, 2:18.20, gd/sf

Vadapolina (Fr), F, 3, by Trempolino

1st Dam: Vadaza (Fr) (MSP-Fr), by Zafonic
2nd Dam: Vadlamixa (Fr), by Linamix (Fr)
3rd Dam: Vadlava (Fr), by Bikala (Ire)

Vadapolina finished second in a one-mile conditions event on debut here Sept. 16 and was considered good enough to contest the Oct. 17 G3 Prix des Reservoirs at Deauville next time, finishing a respectable fourth. Allowed to start this sophomore debut as the 21-10 second choice, the 1/2 to Vadawina (Ire) (Unfuwain), G1SW-Fr, $267,175, produced a scintillating display to secure a first success in highly impressive fashion. Stalking the leaders in a close fourth from the bell, the chestnut angled to the outside for her bid with 1 1/2 furlongs remaining and settled the contest in an instant with an impressive surge at the eighth pole. Jockey Christophe Soumillon afforded himself the luxury of standing in the irons in the latter stages as the partnership cruised to the line 2 1/2 lengths in advance of the well-regarded Terra Incognita (GB) (Rock of Gibraltar {Ire}). Lifetime Record: 3 starts, 1 win, 2 places, Eu31,600.
