  SAINT-CLOUD, 2.50, Mdn, 21,000, unraced 3yo, f, 1 5/16mT, 2:23.30, vsf

Terra Incognita (GB), F, 3, by Rock Of Gibraltar (Ire)

1st Dam: Terre A Terre (Fr) (G1SW-Fr & UAE & G1SP-HK, $239,380), by Kaldounevees (Fr)
2nd Dam: Toujours Juste (Fr), by Always Fair
3rd Dam: Soloist, by Alleged

The only foal from the ill-fated and dual Group One-winning dam Terre a Terre (Fr), Terra Incognita arrived at the track with a lofty reputation and rewarded connections and followers alike with a stunning debut performance. Moving comfortably behind the front rank throughout this newcomers’ event, the 9-5 favorite cruised effortlessly to the fore with 300 meters remaining and eased clear in hand to score by a hugely impressive three lengths from Criticism (GB) (Machiavellian). "It was very important this nice-looking filly won as her dam unfortunately died while carrying her second foal," explained winning trainer Yves de Nicolay. "I would say her target is the [June 10] G1 Prix de Diane, but we do not intend to over-race her so we will decide with the owners which path to follow," he added. Lifetime Record: 1 start, 1 win, Eu10,500.
