Any Given Saturday, C, 2, by Distorted Humor

1st Dam: Weekend in Indy, by A.P. Indy
2nd Dam: Whow, by Spectacular Bid
3rd Dam: Hooplah, by Hillary

Any Given Saturday overcame a wide trip, sweeping boldly around the far turn en route to an eyecatching victory. Drawn in the 11 hole going 5 1/2 furlongs at Turfway Sept. 15, the dark bay raced six wide on the turn, but was up late for a nose success. Sent off the narrow 2-1 second favorite to stablemate Sam P. (Cat Thief), the $1.1 million KEESEP yearling purchase drew the outside stall again and was trapped out wide on the first turn and the backstretch. Nonetheless, he commenced a sweeping move leaving the half-mile pole, worked his way to the front nearing the stretch and defeated his barn mate by three lengths. The winner is a half to Bohemian Lady (Carson City), GSW, $423,231. Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0, $46,244.
