Nobiz Like Shobiz had sparkled in his morning trials and was made the 7-2 second choice to the Todd Pletcher-trained entry of Gowden Mile (Graeme Hall) and Bullara (Holy Bull). Bullara broke on top and showed the way through a half in :45.59, with Nobiz Like Shobiz 1 1/2 lengths back in fourth. The Elizabeth Valando homebred came through on the inside turning for home and the race was over in an instant, with the bay colt opening up by 10 3/4 lengths despite looking at the grandstand and minimal encouragement from jockey Cornelio Velasquez. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $26,400.
