Five Star Daydream, a $250,000 FTFFEB two-year-old and a $55,000 KEESEP yearling, was second behind a sharp winner in Magical Ride in her Belmont unveiling July 14 and was 6-5 to go one better this time. In this one, she stumbled at the start, but rushed up to vie for the lead through :22.05 and :46.13 fractions. With Edgar Prado aboard, she shook clear in the stretch and ran away with a 2 1/4-length tally. Imperial Reign (Indian Charlie), a $1-million OBSMAR graduate, completed the exacta at odds of 2-1. Lifetime Record: 2-1-1-0, $36,800.
