Chagall looked promising enough at the FTFFEB sale earlier this year to attract a final bid of $825,000, and went postward as the 4-5 favorite here in her career opener. Hustled up from post 10, the Florida-bred bay assumed command turning for home and fended off a valiant Seaside Affair (Sea of Secrets) for a 1 1/2-length success. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $24,800.
