  Keeneland, Race 10, Msw, 50,000, 3yo, f, 6 1/2f, 1:16 3/5, ft

Hidden Fortune, F, 3, by Gone West

1st Dam: Cash Deal (GSP), by Danzig
2nd Dam: Above the Line, by Easy Goer
3rd Dam: Pure Profit, by Key to the Mint

The regally bred Hidden Fortune, sent off as the 9-5 favorite, took advantage of Keeneland’s golden rail to show the way while well within herself. The bay poured it on turning for home, opening up by 14 lengths under a hand ride from John Velazquez, who was winning his third on the day aboard Todd Pletcher-trained runners. Hidden Fortune was produced by Cash Deal, runner-up in the GII Walmac Alcibiades S. at Keeneland in 2000. Cash Deal, out of a half-sister to champion Inside Information and millionaire Educated Risk, was acquired in utero by Overbrook Farm, which purchased her dam for $1 million at Keeneland November in 1997. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $31,225.
