A $290,000 KEENOV weanling, Khalila matured into a $550,000 FTSAUG yearling. The half-sister to Galloping Gal (Victory Gallop), SW & GSP, $348,269, had been training well ahead of her bow and was part of the favored entry at 7-5 along with stablemate Al Maha (Holy Bull). Urged to take the lead soon after the start, the bay filly shrugged off Al Maha and proceeded to draw off smoothly by four lengths. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $25,800.
