Neko Bay, out of a half to Lemon Drop Kid and Statue of Liberty, boasted several strong moves on the worktab, including a :59 4/5 five-furlong breeze Feb. 21. Somehow overlooked by the Arcadia faithful at 21-1 while debuting with Lasix, he settled in midpack while Miura Bull (El Corredor) dueled through :22 1/5 and :44 1/5 fractions. Swung out for the stretch run by Corey Nakatani, the Moss colorbearer showed a nice late turn of foot to rally home a 1 1/2-length winner over 5-1 Fear No Darkness (Horse Chestnut {SAf}). Evaluate (Ire) (Fusaichi Pegasus), favored at 4-5, closed from far back to finish third. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $36,600.
