Bluegrass Cat suffered through a troubled trip in his June 4 debut at Churchill Downs and was never in the race, finishing eighth. Forgiven for that effort by the Belmont faithful, the 1/2 to Lord Of The Game (Saint Ballado), MGSW, $389,920, was sent off the 7-5 chalk at second asking and did not disappoint. The bay was pressured through a half in :46.30, but left the field in his wake down the lane, drawing off to a 6 1/2-length tally over Rockandahardplace (Smoke Glacken). Lifetime Record: 2-1-0-0, $25,800.
