Scottish Stage did herself no favors with an extremely tardy start in this debut, but exhibited a range of gears to prevail in taking fashion. Racing in rear after that sluggish exit from the gate, the chestnut homebred was forced wide when still in arrears at the top of the short straight. Pushed along for an effort at the furlong marker, she showed immediate and impressive acceleration, swooping late to deny Mary Delaney (Hennessy) by a neck in the final stride. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, £4,316.
