The first foal from Eclipse Award winner and GI Breeders’ Cup Distaff heroine Beautiful Pleasure, Dr. Pleasure had been working steadily, if unspectacularly, but had earned enough attention during morning trials to be sent off the even-money chalk in his debut. Never far from the front, the John Oxley homebred drove to the lead as they straightened for home and galloped away to a 7 1/4-length victory. Regent Spirit (Concerto) completed the exacta. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $27,000.
