A full sister to Fusaichi Rock Star, GSW, $138,766 , Wild Fit was retained by consignor Murray Smith after she was led out unsold at $240,000 at Barretts March. The Florida-bred had been training smartly in the mornings and debuted as the 5-2 second choice. Allowed to settle into stride down the backstretch, the grey rallied five wide on the turn and found another gear in the lane, opening up to win by four lengths over Babe Hall (El Corredor). Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $30,600.
