Folklore was the only member of the field with a prior start to her credit, and took advantage of that experience to register the first win for her freshman sire (by Cee’s Tizzy). Sent off at odds of 5-1 in that May 18 debut over course and distance, the homebred filly raced close up early before weakening to be second, beaten 3 1/4 lengths. The slight second choice at 3-2 to go one better, the bay relaxed kindly behind dueling front-runners, tipped out three wide for the stretch run and pulled away nicely to defeat 3-2 favorite Truart (Yes It’s True) by four lengths. Lifetime Record: 2-1-1-0, $34,400.
