That price tag, combined with several sharp workouts, led the Delaware bettors to load up at the windows, sending him postward as the 2-5 choice. The chestnut lived up to the billing, cruising up to take the lead soon after the break and waltzed home clear by13 1/4 lengths in a track-record equalling performance, despite being taken in hand by Ramon Dominguez in the final furlong.
