  Keeneland, Race 1, Msw, 46,520, 2yo, 4 1/2f, :51 3/5, ft

  Half Ours, C, 2, by Unbridled's Song

1st Dam: Zing, by Storm Cat
2nd Dam: Key Phrase, by Flying Paster
3rd Dam: Sown, by Grenfall

It looks like two-year-old Half Ours will be well worth the $625,000 that Aaron and Marie Jones spent for him at the 2004 Keeneland September Sale. Making his debut at the 1-5 favorite, the gray broke on top and never looked back, romping to a 10 3/4-length victory. Trainer Todd Pletcher was surprised that the colt came to hand so quickly. "We didn’t really expect him to run at Keeneland, but he’s done everything so easily and everything’s come very naturally to him," Pletcher told TVG. "It was fast race today, but I don’t think it was necessarily a tough race for him. The [Three Chimneys Juvenile S. at Churchill] is 20 days from now, but if he comes out of this all right, it’s something we’ll keep in mind." Half Ours’ second dam Key Phrase, winner of the GI Santa Monica H., produced SW and sophomore sire Yankee Gentleman.

Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $31,270.
