Given little chance at 18-1 odds for her debut, the bay made short work of her rivals here. In command from the start, Yankee Penny maintained a comfortable advantage through modest opening fractions, opened up to lead by four turning for home and galloped away from the field late to score by 10 1/2 lengths. The $150,000 KEESEP yearling is a 3/4 sister in blood to champion three-year-old Real Quiet.
