When in Lexington, you must try any of the places that are in the Malone’s family of restaurants. These include Malone’s, Oscar’s and Harry’s. Each offer a slightly different product, but the same high quality. Malone’s is one of the country’s best steak houses and there are two locations, Lansdowne (Tates Creek) and Hamburg Place. Oscar’s is an oyster and piano bar and features live music and an extensive collection of drinks. The atmosphere is sophisticated, yet relaxed. Harry’s is a traditional American bar that is adorned with several mementoes from Lexington’s history in the Thoroughbred industry. Brian McCarty and Bruce Drake love serving the horse crowd and are opening a new site just down from Keeneland which promises to be their best yet! Reservations at Malone’s are recommended.
