MURRAYS (Lexington, KY - Dining)
3955 Harrodsburg Road, Lexington, KY, 40513 Phone: (859) 219-9922 Web: www.Murrays-merrick.com Type: A tasty variety of foods on a wonderful patio, popular with the racing crowd American Casual Cuisine, Entrees $19- $36. Nightly
specials, including pasta and bar specials
The best bet by far after the sales or races is three
miles and only two turns from Keeneland. Great patio (weather permitting), flat panels to watch the replays or the Final Four tonight. Tuesday is half-price wine night– you will need that if you made a score on your pinhook or if the Russian National Army (RNA) signed your ticket. Locals order the fried chicken, but this is NOT KFC. This is the real deal you--will need a doggie bag. The duck appetizer is a must and the green beans are better than your mom’s. You can’t go wrong with the salmon and the wedge is awesome. The scenery is great; Bobby Murray has a great eye for waitresses with a good walk and plenty of leg. Might see some local celebrities bellied up to the bar--Fatty Greathouse has been seen there before, and Nick Zito is a big fan. The sales results will be there, so no need to wait at Keeneland. Hope you enjoy!
