Type: Nouveau eclectic cuisine served in a funky atmosphere

If you’re going to be in Gainesville, 101 Downtown is excellent. They have all different types of food, kind of like nouveau eclectic good cuisine. The atmosphere is interesting; they play this wacky music and you’d almost think you were in South Beach. The food is really good. They have this macaroni and cheese appetizer with a little bit of lobster. I love the lamb dish. They have a lot of specials, so the same things aren’t always on the menu. I like their lamb dish, and they have a good sea bass. But the appetizers are excellent. I usually get a bunch of appetizers, and just have them, because that’s how good they are.
