CHEZ MIOCQUE (Deauville, France - Dining)
81 Rue Eugene Colas, Deauville Phone: +33 (0)2-31-88-09-52 Type: The place to be seen; food is high quality
This is the place to be seen in Deauville! It is a brasserie type of restaurant which owes a lot to its flair of the owner, Jacques Miocque. Jacques is a real entertainer who knows each of his clients including people from the French, English and Irish racing worlds. As far as show business goes, Jacques is also familiar with anyone who would be in town for the Deauville Film Festival. However, this is not just a show place. The food is of the highest quality and consistency. I recommend the famous moules marinieres, the cote de boeuf or the sole. The wine list matches the quality and the freshness of food, I suggest the Chateau Canon 1998 from Saint Emilion. It is important to make reservations!
