Type: Watch the races while having a relaxing meal

Tedder Avenue is my favourite place to eat--there's a group of terrific restaurants all vying for your patronage and a festive feel with the fairy lights twinkling in the trees. Great restaurants include Shuck (great oysters), Domani's (try the lamb shanks) and Toast Cafe for a leisurely breakfast. The Northcliffe Surf Club is a great spot to watch the races and have a relaxing meal while others are fighting the crowds at the racecourse. The Isle of Capri has a couple of good boutiques, carrying designer stock at good prices. My favourite thing to do though, is take a big walk along the beach in the morning with the sand between my toes, before heading out to the sales for more footwork.
