Hip 48, a bay colt by Medaglia d'Oro consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, Agent for Stonestreet Bred & Raised was the first yearling to reach the $1-million mark Monday, selling to M.V. Magnier during the opening session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale. The third foal from his dam, the Wintergreen S. heroine Spring Party who is a half-sister to GI Forego S. hero Emcee (Unbridled's Song) and Group 2 winner Surfer (Distorted Humor), the colt's second dam is a half-sister to GISW Awesome Humor (Distorted Humor). He was bred by Stonestreet Thoroughbred Holdings LLC in Kentucky.
