One of the more hotly-anticipated freshman sires, champion and MGISW Honor Code (A.P. Indy), will be represented by his first runner Wednesday at Churchill in KatieRich Farms' HONORABLE MEMORY. Trained by Mark Hubley, the homebred is a half to GSW Ready for Rye (City Zip) out of a half-sister to 2009 GI Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile hero Furthest Land (Smart Strike). The dark bay flashed speed with a three-furlong bullet from the gate in :35 flat (1/18) Apr. 2 at Keeneland. Also breaking the ice for their first-crop sires are Ms Headley (The Big Beast, by Yes It's True) and Eloquent Lady (Mr Speaker, by Pulpit). Both have shown quickness in the mornings, with the former drilling a half-mile in :46 4/5 (3/74) Apr. 25 at Keeneland for Wesley Ward and the latter going five panels in :59 flat (1/5) over the local training surface for Pat Byrne Apr. 18.
