+LIGHT TREADING (GER) (f, 2, Maxios {GB}–Limeira {GB}, by Bertolini) recovered from a slightly awkward departure to track the leaders in sixth after the initial exchanges of this unveiling. Tanking into third on the home turn, the 67-10 chance powered to the front approaching the final eighth and surged clear under whipless rousting in the closing stages to score by 1 3/4 lengths from Reet Petite (Den) (Appel Au Maitre {Fr}), becoming the first winner for her Gestut Fahrhof-based freshman sire (by Monsun {Ger}). Light Treading's dam is the one-time winner Limeira (Bertolini), who is a half-sister to the two-time champion Lateral (Singspiel), a winner of the G1 Cran Criterium and G2 Jaxx Pokal. Their dam Ligona (Aragon) won the Listed Preis de Signalbau Huber and the Listed Preis von Köln and is one of three Black Type winners out of Lima (Surumu).
